Everyone is an actor, but sometimes, the script is bad.

Everyone is an actor. When it comes to different situations, people tend to play different roles, and there can be a very big contrast in different situations.

I have a good friend from the Boston Police. Very friendly and helpful guy. Hardworking and honest, totally dependable. But I’ve met others who encountered him, describing him as violent, by-the-book, unsociable, and impossible to deal with. He has broken his hand and many other bones while chasing down a perpetrator, and even with intense pain, he still gets his man.

I’ve known people that he has arrested. (As part of a motorcycle community, I do support the police and the bigger biker community, and also know various other “bad boys”) And the ones that encountered him, hated him as they complained that he was very rough during arrests.

Even in the police station, he has many “friends” and “enemies” as he would do what he thinks is right, and even be a witness to prosecute a fellow officer.

We know that everyone plays out their role in different situations. When you put on a uniform, you are expected to play a different role. How you do it depends…
