I have worked with various Foundations and from my experience interacting with some people from the main organization (that funds the foundation), money is never enough.

Sadly, this applies to many of my friends who work in financial jobs that allow them to earn millions a year. They too claim that education and healthcare cost is getting so high that they need to save up for their kids, hence it is hard for them to support some social activities.

I think sometimes greed comes from fear. The fear of being “mediocre” again.
