I’ve got this product to clean some chrome, and it has worked out pretty nicely, and now, I’m going to try it on headers and exhaust.
These are the header which I want to polish up. I’ve cleaned and degreased it already, and I’ve wiped with alcohol wipes.
After applying the Yoshimura STAIN-Magic, this is the result.
The top part closest to the engine which had turned into a dark grey color did not change. The bottom part that looks like copper slowly turned chrome.
I’ve polished this before with Autosol and other metal polish. It just made the copper color become shiny, but the Yoshimura STAIN-Magic, it acts really fast, and makes the exhaust turn chrome.
Definitely much faster than Maguairs aluminium polish or Blue Job which I’ve used on my Harley.
The issue is, for headers, this part does change colors quickly because it is so damn hot, so polishing it will be a constant job to keep…
