Positive signs for COVID-19 in Singapore

The doom and gloom painted globally with the spreading of COVID-19 have sent markets tumbling and people panicking. Retail had been badly affected for the month of February, but with a world-class healthcare system and our beautiful and informative info-graphic COVID-19 tracking system that displays clusters and infected people, confidence is coming back to Singaporeans.

On 1 March, 2020 — There was a crowd queuing for 1-for-1 chocolates in Bugis Junction again. The queue stretched from Godiva to MacDonald's, easily having 40 people in the line.

There are more crowds queuing for various restaurants like Sushi Plus, something we have missed for the whole month of February.

This seems to be a positive sign that things are getting better for retail. I would like to thank all the healthcare professionals for their time and dedication. Although we are still not clear of the virus, things are starting to look positive again.

For the other countries out there who are struggling with COVID-19, stay vigilant. Stay safe and exercise a higher level of hygiene. Restrict unnecessary travels and take care of your health. Let’s fight this and end this epidemic together!
