I’ve brought in my Vintage Harley, and the road tax is to be renewed annually on 31/12 to the next year. Road tax for vintage vehicles is $280 a year, and you get 28 coupons to use in that year.

Renewal of Road Tax for Vintage vehicles is quite straightforward. You need insurance that covers the whole period, and once your insurance is renewed, you can renew your road tax online. (Sometimes it takes a day or two for the system to sync up)

There is a new development in the system. Insurance of vintage motorcycles (regardless of size, brand, etc.) seems to be a flat fee of $53.50 (for me and my friends who are experienced riders above 30 years of age)

A 175cc Yamaha, or a 350cc Honda or my 1340cc Harley, they all share the same road tax and insurance now. It is easy to remember.

After renewing my insurance, I go to the online portal.

There is a Roadtax Renewal Portal which is now easy to use and straightforward. I would like to congratulate LTA for having such an efficient site. All you need is your vehicle number and the last 4 digits of your NRIC.

Then the next step is payment and you are done. (You also get a confirmation email)

And in the next few days, they LTA will send you your new coupons to ride the motorcycle for the next year.

Enjoy!
